Charlottenburg. Francucci’s Ristorante

Normally I would not go for pizza to the other end of the city, but since it was a Pizza Week, we decided to visit Francucci’s Ristorante on Ku’Damm. This place has an okay rating on Foursquare (8.1) and marked as more or less expensive (with $$$ out of $$$$).

It was a nice sunny day, so a long walk from U Uhlandstraße to the restaurant was a great idea. There were almost no people inside the restaurant, everyone decided to bask in the sun outside.

Waiters were not paying any attention when we came, so we decided to take a first available table. It took forever when waiters came to take an order and, yes, we gave up on waiting for the menu. Well, maybe it’s okay for the “posh” place like that. We have ordered a white pizza with eggplant, buffalo mozzarella and basil and in around 15 minutes we’ve got our pizza.

The dough was very tasty. I think, one of the best that I have tried – both quality and thickness. Unfortunately, they managed to screw up this delicious dough with an awful toping.  It was tasteless, and only chilli pepper was trying to give any taste to pizza.

Attentive attitude towards dogs – one big plus to their service.

Resume:

I would not recommend this place. You have to wait a long time when you’ll be offered a place, then when they bring the menu, then when they take an order and so on. If you are not speaking Italian or look expensive enough – they will treat you arrogantly.
